Europe Astronomers came to conclusion that under the big layer of ice that covers sputnik of Jupiter — Europe there is an ocean of water that is rich of oxygen. If there was a life in this ocean, millions tonnes of fish could live there because of this oxygen. However, there is no speaking about some complex life forms yet. Scientists tell that last researches of the ocean on Europe showed that there are all factors to beginning of life in this enormous pool.

Titanium Titanium — the first satellite ( спутник ) of Saturn, which was discovered by people . Titanium’s surface ( поверхность ) is composed of ice. There are some Kriovulcans and methane ( метановые ) lakes . The atmosphere is made from nitrogen ( азот ), methane and ethane. The pressure of Titan is bigger then pressure of the Earh . The temperature is about -170 degrees. Despite the low temperature, there is a possibility of the availability ( наличие ) of simple life forms in underground reservoirs ( водоемы ), where conditions could be more comfortable then on the surface.

А вы знали, что Гагарин бывал на родине языка, который мы с вами изучаем? Он даже был приглашен на ужин к английской королеве!

Now I offer you to watch an interesting film about Gagarin and England. Watch and listen very attentively [слайд 14].

Space Exploration. People often think that the age of space exploration began with the first spaceships in the 1950’s and 1960’s, though in fact, astronomers had been exploring the universe long before the beginning of space flights.

From the beginning of the space age, both the Soviet Union and the United States were active in the exploration of the solar system.

The first manned flight took place on April 12, 1961, when Yuri Gagarin went into orbit in the Soviet Vostok 1 spaceship and proved that man could survive in space.

In 1965 Voskhod 2 made a flight which was really memorable because the copilot, Alexei Leonov, left the ship for the first time and became a space walker. He spent 10 minutes outside the spaceship in a special spacesuit.

The next stage of space exploration was connected with the use of orbital stations. The first of them called Mir was launched in 1986.

At the same time the USA carried on its programme of the Moon exploration and in 1969 Neil Armstrong became the first man to walk on the Moon. In 1975 the USSR and the USA made the first space experiment together.

People’s desire to know more about the world around us will never be satisfied and we can get the best results if we do this hard work together.
